Hi, i’m Danielle
My fascination with the birth process began when I witnessed it for the first time; the birth of my eldest nephew. It was life-changing, and I knew I needed to be part of the birth world. I became a certified doula (trained by Life Cycles Center of Buffalo, NY, and more recently, by DONA International), a Childbirth Educator (trained by ProDoula), and a certified Placenta Preparation Specialist (trained by Woman’s Choice Perinatal Services). I also have my Master's degree in Biological Anthropology from the University at Buffalo.
As a doula, I have supported births in both home & hospital settings, and was blessed with an empowering home-birth experience of my own. My passion in maternal health and birth has only grown since my own birth experience. My educations as a doula, childbirth educator, in addition to biological anthropologist has allowed me to fully understand & appreciate the incredible ways in which our bodies are built to grow, carry, birth, and nourish our babies.
I've always been drawn to the non-clinical role of a doula, providing education with evidence-based information, supporting parents through pregnancy, labor, birth and beyond, and normalizing birth and breastfeeding in our culture. I strive to bring a calm, encouraging, non-judgmental presence into your birth space, along with a dash of humor.
I am so proud to DOula what i love, to learn more from each experience, and to continue to serve & support the growing families of Western New York.
